New sales channel for Athletic Greens

Athletic Greens, a dietary supplement brand from New Zealand, joined Douyin (China TikTok) in 2022 as a new brand. The brand aimed to boost sales in Chinese market and increase brand exposure. 

Background & Challenge

During the livestreaming, customers received cash rewards for following, watching brand’s livestreams, becoming members, and browsing products.

 

At the same time, Influencers produced videos and utilized native ads to showcase exclusive offers, attracting viewers to join livestream sessions.

 

By focusing on content and product showcases, as well as other promising traffic sources, Athletic Greens increased their monthly GMV by over 10X in under a year, earning a top 3 spot on the international E-commerce dietary list during the New Year Shopping Festival.
